All gas log photos on this website are shown with the (FX) flaming extra burner. Which causes the glowing embers to be seen.
 | Vented gas log sets are selected primarily for aesthetics. The amount of heat produced is dependent upon the efficiency of the fireplace in which it is intstalled and the type of burner selected. The Rasmussen 'FX' burner, using ember booster design, has a large glowing ember bed that creates more radiant warmth than other vented burner types. Vented pan burners create a wood like flame that produces soot, which requires that they be used in a fully functioning vented fireplace with the damper open.
Glass doors must be wide open when burning for proper ventilation, proper combustion and cooling of safety control valves.
Vented sets are available with a variety of safety control options that provide convenient lighting of your set as well as safety shut-down of the set in the event of an interruption in the gas supply or a flameout. |
